There are many different ways to pray. For some people it is a chance to tell God about everything they feel. Sometimes people pray to God to help them solve their problems, while some people use prayers to examine everything they do and think about how they can act better. Some people pray quietly by themselves. Others come together in a group, or minyan (ten Jews) to pray together and sing their prayers. No matter how you pray, though - and most people pray in all these ways at one time or another - the siddur, or prayer book, has prayers for every occasion.
